Titular councilor
Aleksandr Sergeyevich Dargomyzhsky
He was a titular councilor,
she - the General's daughter.
He timidly confessed his love,
she curtly dismissed him.
Away went the titular councilor
and got drunk all night.
But in the fog of the wine,
appeared before him the general's daughter!
