The leaves were whispering sadly
Aleksandr Yegorovich Varlamov
The leaves were whispering sadly
In the forest in the time of night
They lowered the casket in the grave,
The casket, lit by the moon.
Quietly, without cries they covered it with earth.
And all went away,
Only, leaning over the grave,
The leaves whispered all night.
