A frilly wife
Georg Philipp Telemann
How many have been fooled into a choice
when they, like an enemy of domesticity,
woo by hurrying too much,
and win themselves a frilly little doll.
for she, with honeyed fingers,
will always be playing and never stir to work,
and the problem will not lessen
when she must run a house with children.
