Dearest little maiden
H. Harding
Maiden mine with lips so rosy,
Eyes so clear and sweet to see,
Thou my dearest, little maiden,
I for ever think of thee.
Long is now the winter even,
Oh that I with thee might be,
Near thee sitting, with thee prattling,
In some soft retreat for thee and me.
There my lips would kisses fasten
On thy snowy little hand.
There my flowing tears would hasten,
Maiden, o'er thy snowy little hand.
