Ghosts

M. Lang

Out in the misty morning

The first snowflakes I see

As they frolic beneath

The leafless boughs of the apple tree.

Faintly they seem to whisper

As round a boughs they wing;

"We are the ghosts of flowers

Who died in the early spring."
