My sword for the King
Michael (Dewar) Head
Farewell to the feasting,
The masque and the play, trumpet is sounding,
To horse and away,
To horse and away!
Farewell, ye sweet moments
Of dance and delight,
Soft silk for love's dalliance,
Hard steel for the fight!
One cup at Love's parting,
One last song to sing,
My heart for my lady,
My sword for the King!
