In the morning dew
Theodor W. Adorno
In the morning dew
you step out
to gaze at the gauzy
cherry tree with me,
and to breathe in
the fragrance of the grass.
Far away, dust is flying...
Throughout Nature,
nothing yet is thriving
in fruit or leaf,
yet around us there are blossoms...
a wind blows from the south.
