Once REM gave me a glimpse

Once REM gave me a glimpse

of Percy Grainger

or was it Vaughan Williams

or Elliot Carter? come to visit me;

the head with the nicely sculpted

hair loomed larger and larger

while of course remaining aloof.

Before it could say anything I woke up

but it did look pretty sour.
