La pastorella al prato

La pastorella al prato

The shepherdess in the meadow

Contenta se ne va

wanders happily,

Coll'agnellino a lato

the lambs at her side,

Cantando in libertà.

and sings blithely.

Se l'innocente amore

If her innocent love

Grandisce il suo pastore

pleases her shepherd,

La bella pastorella

the fair shepherdess

Contenta ognor sarà.

will always be happy.
