Morgenlied

Willkommen, rotes Morgenlicht!

Welcome, rosy light of morning!

Es grüsset dich mein Geist,

My spirit greets you,

Der durch des Schlafes Hülle bricht,

breaking through the veil of sleep

Und seinen Schöpfer preis't.

to praise its Creator.

Willkommen, goldner Morgenstrahl,

Welcome, golden ray of morning,

Der schon den Berg begrüsst,

which already greets the mountains,

Und bald im stillen Quellental

and in the silent valley, by the stream,

Die kleine Blume küsst!

will soon kiss the little flowers.

Willkommen, goldner Morgenstrahl,

Welcome, golden ray of morning,

Der schon den Berg begrüsst,

which already greets the mountains,

Und bald im stillen Quellental

and in the silent valley, by the stream,

Die kleine Blume küsst!

will soon kiss the little flowers.
