Blossoms
W. Hurlstone
When spring puts on her wedding gown,
And ev'ry little sreamlet brown
Runs singing to the sea,
Then shyly ope these dewy eyes
With blue reflections from the skies;
Heav'n's sweet “Remember me.”
So now my heart's a garden fair
With Love's first blossom growing there,
Enchanting flower to see.
Close, softly close, white petall'd eyes
Within whose shade Love's perfume lies,
That gives new life to me.
