Unser Haus

Unser Haus liegt auf weißer Heide,

Our house is on the white heath

Ganz im Schnee, ganz im Schnee.

All in the snow, all in the snow.

Hinter uns steht erstarrt ein Wald

Behind us stands a frozen forest

Fern und schwarz geballt,

Distant and clenched black.

Doch im stillen Winterkleide.

But in silent winter clothing

Es sprühn die andern Welten

Other worlds are sparkling

Ganz fern in klaren Höh'n

Far distant in clear heights

Ganz, ganz fern in kalter, klarer Höh!

Far, far distant, in chilly, clear heights!

Wie ist Ewigkeit schon jetzt gewandet!

How eternity is now clothed!

Wie warm sind wir gelandet!

How warm we are landed!
